Adobe Photoshop Essentials – 2 Days
Pre-requisites
This course is for beginners. You do not need any previous knowledge of Photoshop, photography or design. We will start right at the beginning and work our way through step by step. Students should, however, have a strong working knowledge of Windows.
Aim
This course is based on using and understanding the working methods of Adobe Photoshop. Selecting and Masking, Type, Layers, Fill Layers, Colour Models and Modes, Transforming, Resolution Issues.
Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this course you should have the skills and knowledge to:
- Cut out items, change colours and create compositions
- Photo-retouching, tonal correction, deep etching, image editing, colour painting and montaging

Adobe Photoshop Advanced – 1 Day
Pre-requisites
To gain the most from this course, participants need to have experience in working with Adobe Photoshop and/or have completed the Adobe Photoshop Essentials course.
Aim
This course is based on using and understanding the working methods of Adobe Photoshop. Using Digital Images and Camera Raw, Painting/Blending Modes, Printing and Screen considerations.
Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this course you should have the skills and knowledge to:
- Use Adobe Photoshop for the development of digital bitmap images to specification to suit various media requirements
Participants will have learned the necessary technical skills and knowledge required to:
- Apply Tone and Colour Adjustment and Management
- Use Automation techniques
- Use Advanced Composition, Masking and Combining Techniques
- Use Photoshop for Video
